LAMC Hospital
We are the first private hospital offering western and native treatments in the region. We believe every patient’s situation is unique and strive to accommodate and deliver the best possible treatment to our patients. We have proposed a 187,808 square feet hospital with all the necessary facilities.
Summary
Located on the outskirts of Colombo, Sri Lanka’s commercial capital, the new proposed 187,808 Square Feet hospital will be the first affordable private hospital in the region. Due to overcrowded government-operated hospitals and expensive private hospitals, many of the population in the surrounding area is left without proper healthcare. The new hospital will use modern medicine to ensure patients receive the best affordable medical care.
Considering the current trends in healthcare provisions and the increasing demand for specialized healthcare services in Sri Lanka, Medical Center Private Limited—a Consultation and Private Healthcare facility in Dehiwala—has decided to undertake a hospital development with a residential treatment facility of 22 beds to a 150-bed hospital to provide better medical care.
The new hospital will be located in close proximity to the Colombo South General Hospital, a government teaching facility. This advantageous location will attract specialists for the new proposed hospital, focusing on emergency and inpatient medical treatment.
This location south of Colombo has a strong demand for private facilities. A hospital in this area will ease the congestion of government facilities and promote affordable private care. Medical Center Private Limited has established a clientele for over 30 years. Upgrading the existing medical center to a hospital level is not only a need but will also be sustainable long term.

Services
The Services of the Hospital will revolve around emergency and inpatient care, with a particular focus on maternity care. The new facility will provide modern state-of-the-art equipment, and practitioners will practice using the most current medical procedures.
This hospital is committed to providing excellent service to each patient. We understand that everyone has different needs and circumstances, so we have developed a holistic approach to delivering medical services that consist of western and native traditional treatments.
Design Centric
In the overall design, the circulation of medical staff, patients, and visitors will be streamlined for the efficient functioning of the hospital. The hospital’s activities will also be vertically segregated, with high public activities organized at lower levels and areas requiring seclusion and privacy organized at upper levels.
Services will be organized to maximize operational efficiency and simplify maintenance. The eleven-story facility will be organized as a modern complex using more natural light and ventilation wherever possible.
